So I have an app on my phone that gives me an update on baby's progress each week. About 15 weeks or so into my pregnancy, I realized that it's clearly not written by an English speaking person. And it makes it even more fun every week. So I'll share this week's that I'm still laughing about. All spelling and grammar are true to the app, not my own errors. And it certainly makes pregnancy sound glamorous.
Thirty-fifth week of pregnanacy
Surely you're already very tired, but there is still a round month to go. And sometimes even more, because some children tend to wait even two weeks after the deadline. At this stage you probably run every hour to the toilet and you have to stop at least three times when climbing up the stairs. When you sit, you breathe heavily, standing is uncomfortable, too, as your legs are swelling, and in addition you can't eat because you have a heartburn. In the 35th week of pregnancy, you are about 10 to 13 kg heavier than before pregnancy. Eat iron-rich products. A child needs iron in the first few months of life. The intenstines produce the meconium, which will later start the pooh season after birth.

Happy Birthday/Father's Day Weekend
In addition to yesterday's festivities (visiting two Greensboro comic book stores and dinner at Pieworks), I thought I'd do a quick post for Lee with a celebration from the girls - Reagan's Don't Stop the Party dance (with an assist from Jenny):

All About My Daddy
I feel a need to share Reagan's kindergarten writings about her dad.
First one is titled What My Daddy Likes:
My daden likes to read comics and watch TV hes a nice daden and he loves to be with me
She calls Lee daden sometimes, so she went ahead and threw that out there.
Next one is titled What my daden is like:
My Peach is an amasing cook. And so is my mommy my Peach loves us all. and so do we. Hes nice. And sweet. the end
Another favorite nickname for her dad - Peach.
Last one is What my daddy looks like:
My daddy has glasses. And usilly wears a shorts and a T-shirt even if its really really cold and he looks nice.
This one is accompanied drawing of Lee at the kitchen table with a comic box, with his aquarium and a swimming fish in the background. Pretty accurate, except that he seems to be a head on top of a chair.

6 Reasons Jenny will Pass the EOG
Jenny just read me this list she made of 6 reasons she can pass her end of grade exams. (Her spelling, not mine.)
1. I believe in myself.
2. I practice every night.
3. I never give up.
4. When I play games I try to find a way to study at the same time.
5. I get a good night sleep.
6. I focus hard.
*As a side note, I realize, not that anyone cares, that it says posted by Reagan when I post anything now. I guess I changed the name associated with my ID to hers when I created her blog for her. I don't feel like changing it again now.

Family of Bloggers
Reagan's been dying for a blog because she's the only one in the family who doesn't have one, so we just got it started. So now we all have our blogs!
Lee - Mr. Sensitive
Jenny - My Life
Reagan - The World According to Reagan
So many ways to keep up with us! Lee blogs much more consistently than I do. Jenny remembers hers every once in a while. We'll just have to see how Reagan does. I hope she shares a lot.

Sanderella!
Well, I didn't do the greatest job filming just because the parents were pretty far away from the stage, but you can certainly hear Reagan, talking very loudly and clearly into the microphone. She's all the way to the left in the yellow shirt, and she's the first voice you hear. The entire thing was super-cute, and Reagan did so well!

Demo Day
I made a video of Jenny's second demo day of the year at gymnastics. She earned 4 red ribbons. The last vault included was a blooper for her that her teacher kindly allowed her to repeat. Overall, she's still loving gymnastics and doing well.

Happy Birthday to Reagan!
A few days late, of course! Reagan turned 6 on Wednesday. Here's a video (my first Flip upload!) from last weekend's birthday party at Bounce U.

New start
I cannot believe I've been the worst about keeping this blog updated, but I have a new plan for the new year. Videos! I got an awesome Flip camera for Christmas, so I can more easily share some of the hilarious things the girls do! I recorded some last night, and I haven't uploaded them yet, but I'm going to go for the New Year's resolution of updating here with videos often. It's easier than losing weight or something like that.
Also, Jenny may manage to update her blog more often then I do.

New Songs by Jenny
Jenny's been writing songs again. They're very serious, and I'm not sure where she gets this from. She says they're stories though.
Leave Me Alone
by Jenny
One day on my way back home
I couldn't find a way
You came and said to me
Are you ready
Get out of my life
Leave me alone
I don't wanna see you anymore
Get out of my life
Leave me alone
I don't wanna see you anymore
So I walked away
Cryin wonderin what would happen next
So when I stepped up to the door
There was a note that said
Get out of my life
Leave me alone
I don't wanna see you anymore
Get out of my life
Leave me alone
I don't wanna see you anymore
When I walked in the house
I went up the stairs and into my room
And as I walked in the phone rang
When I picked it up he said
Get out of my life
Leave me alone
I don't wanna see you anymore
Get out of my life
Leave me alone
I don't wanna see you anymore
I walked over to my bed and laid down
And said to myself goodnight
Leave me alone
Finally
by Jenny
Finally found someone who will understand
Finally found someone who cares about me
But since you left...
I've been so awesome, cool, good without you
Totally wicked cool
School is fine
Don't mind
Just live your life and leave me alone
When you hang up the phone
Just leave me alone
And I'll tell you something
Are you ready
Cause I'm awesome, cool, good without you
Totally wicked cool
School is fine
Don't mind
Just live your life and leave me alone
Finally is apparently not finished yet, so she still wants to work on it. I actually thought parts of these might be from some real songs she knows, but she says they're not, and I can't think of any songs with these lyrics. I love the songs though.

Happy Birthday (Yesterday) to Jenny!
Jenny turned 8 yesterday, which is so hard for me to believe, but it's true! The best news is that she's out of a car seat. We got her a little netbook computer to be all hers for her birthday, and she got lots of other fun stuff from friends and family, so I think she's pretty satisfied (or at least should be). And she had a fun birthday party at the movie theater, where we saw Ice Age in 3-D. 3-D movies are always fun. Here are a couple pictures from the big day. Doesn't she look grown up?

Jenny's Writing
We went to an end of year celebration at Jenny's school tonight, and they gave us folders with all of her writing for the year that seemed like perfect blog posts to me! I'm not going to post them all tonight (even thought I'm tempted because some are so great), but I will post a couple of my favorites.
I'll start with a long one, Jenny's first story for the year. All spelling is Jenny's. You'll have to miss out on the illustrations because I don't feel like scanning.
One sunny bright day I went outsid to feed my fish. As I tossed the food in 1 of them hit the lilypad and a door opened. As it opened my mouth opened in big surprize. I could tell something fishy was going on because I could see my dog sniffing the water. It had a small sighn that said hi. Don't come in inless you have glitter.
I had no clue what to do because there is a seceret door in my back in my pond on a lilypad!!! I was freeking out about if I should go in because I would like to no why what ever is in there would need glitter?
As I was looking in the door I saw some glittery wings quickly zooming past the door so I coulden't see what was behind the door because all I no is there is a seceret door in my pond and it is making me want to jump in so I have made my disijan and they answer is...yes.
Once I was in, a fairy handed me pink lemonade and some blue balloons. It was so cool! I coulden't beleve what I saw, little people with sparkly wings. I wished I could stay here forever but I can't. I had to quickly get ready to go because I could here my mom calling my name!
All the fairies quickly shuved me out right when my mom was about to get mad. My mom took me inside and kept on going on about how worried she was. But still I will do it again tomorrow.
Now one poem:
Jenny
Brown hair
Brown eyes
Pearst ears
2nd grader
Smart girl
Recycle
Chores
Tan skin
Big sister
Hales Heartbreaker
I am glad to be me
And last for tonight, one journal entry. I would say she revealed some things about life that she didn't really need to, but that's okay.

Dear Mrs. Hale,
Over the weekend me and my sister spend are time cleaning. It was fun. I was washing dishes. My sister was getting the laundry. And then we both cleaned are room. It was a dauzaster. Reagan shuved every thing under her bed. I did to. But for no reason. Then we did what ever we want. Well now that I think about it we went to jump on the trampaoleen with are friend Brittan. It was fun.
Love,
Jenny

Happy Mother's Day
I'm now relaxing and making myself some new CDs for Mother's Day, and it occurred to me that I've been doing a really bad job of keeping the blog updated because it's just so much easier to do quick updates on Twitter. So I thought I would do a quick post with some of the pictures that we took at the park yesterday. I took the girls to take some pictures to frame and give to our moms for Mother's Day, and they turned out so well!

Prom
Apparently Reagan enjoyed the prom. Her initial report was, "Yay! I wasn't prom queen!" So it was everything she dreamed.
I found out yesterday that parents were supposed to go, but I wasn't even in town today, so I didn't get to. I'm hoping one of the parents who did go will give copies of some pictures, but for now, here are a couple of Reagan in her prom outfit.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter!
We've had a nice day at home, starting with early morning Easter baskets. We've also had a few family rounds of Trivial Pursuit (which I've won, and Lee's really happy about it).
Here are a couple pictures, with a few more posted on flickr.

Also, since I've been on Twitter for a few weeks, I've been thinking about using it more. I realized one major way it can be useful to me is that I can tweet funny little one-liners from the girls. Since I pretty much always have my phone with me, I can just send a text, and it's much easier than trying to remember everything for a blog post later.

Conversations with Reagan
Everyone who reads this blog: You must be so jealous that you can't have these conversations all the time.
This evening on the way home from gymnastics:
Reagan - Mommy...(in a really whiny voice)...I'm worried about getting my blood drained.
I'm not sure what brought that on, but I'm sure it had nothing to do with vampires.
This morning on the way to school:
Reagan - Are you and daddy going to die before me and Jenny?
Me - Probably.
Reagan - Do you know when it will be?
Me - No.
Reagan - When you're old old, not just when you're a little old?
Me - Probably.
Sunday on the way back from Hilton Head:
Jenny - Have you seen Ever After?
Me - Yes.
Jenny - It came on Oxygen. And then What A Girl Wants. And then Can't Buy Me Love.
Me - The Patrick Dempsey movie.
Reagan - It had Ronald Miller and Cindy. Ronald Miller and Cindy had S-E-S in it.
Jenny - It's S-E-X, Reagan, not S-E-S.
Last night, when looking at potential prom dresses for next week's pre-K prom at daycare:
Reagan - Kayla's going to wear a tank top dress, but I don't want to do that because I'm worried I'll look too sexy.
