This Evening's Project

When the girls and I got home this evening, Jenny, as usual, asked if she could have a snack before dinner. We had some Oreos because I got them to make a cake for work earlier in the week, so Jenny decided that's what she wanted. Lee gave them the Oreos and a big bowl of milk. Jenny then decided that they should work on making Oreo soup for all of us. So they managed to crush up an entire package of Oreos into this bowl of milk. I can tell you - it's a very neat cooking process. Then Jenny got out 4 bowls so that she could give each of us a bowl of soup. She filled them up and put them in the freezer so that it could be a frozen treat. We just had them a few minutes ago, and they were actually pretty tasty. I'm glad the girls can always find ways to occupy their time. Now they've moved onto reading in the other room. Even though we have at least a thousand books in this house, they had to fight over one before agreeing to share, so they are finally settled down for this evening - not asleep, of course, but settled down.
