Superpowers

You guys might want to remember this post in a few weeks. We were just heading out to attempt to play a little tennis with the girls, and we had the following conversation in the car:

Jenny: Mommy, do you just want to have regular girls or girls who have superpowers so you can have everything you want?

Me: Well, I guess I'd want you to have the superpowers. Is this something I need to really think about? Do you really think you'll be getting superpowers soon?

Jenny: Yes, in three weeks.

Me: Oh. So what will your superpower be?

Jenny: I will be able to get people to do anything I say. So if we're in a store and I want something, I'll be able to get them to give it to us.

Me: So you plan to use your superpowers for evil to steal from stores?

Jenny: Um, yeah, I guess so. And money! We can get people to give us money so we'll be rich.

We talked about that for a little bit and how she might want to have some other power.

Jenny: Oh, I know what I'd want instead. I'd want to be able to read people's minds. Then I'd be able to see if Brianna was mad at me because sometimes I think she is, but I'm really not sure, but I'd know if I could read her mind.

Me and Lee: Oh, Jenny.

Reagan kept saying that she was also going to have whatever superpower Jenny said she was going to have, which really made Jenny mad because she's selfish with her superpowers. I felt like it probably wasn't an issue we'd really have to deal with.
