The Most Horrible Day Ever

Yesterday when I picked the girls up from school, Jenny got in the car and said, "I had the most horrible day ever today." Since I had actually had one of the worst days ever at work, I was curious to hear what made her day so terrible.

"First, shoes. Shoes kept coming off my feet and coming untied and people had to help me. I can't wear these shoes anymore. Second, book. You forgot to send my library book today, so every other kid got to get two books, and I only got one. Then, lunch. I had to have chili on my hotdog. I told them that I wanted it plain, but they said, no, if you have a hotdog, you have to have chili. So I had to try to wipe it off with my napkin."

I said, "Wow, that is a bad day."

Then she told me that she made up the hotdog part! She tricked me - for no really good reason.

I told Jenny that she may need to wait until her feet get a little bigger to wear her new tennis shoes. Her response - "Or until the shoes get smaller."
